Firefox Sync
Firefox-only addon that enables you to keep your information synchronised between computers

Install Firefox on your work laptop and you’ll want to have access to the same bookmarks, preferences, standard form information and even your passwords. If you spend time browsing the same sites, you’ll want the browser to remember and store this information. Problem is that we might add a bookmark to Firefox on our desktop PC, then forget it’s not available on our laptop.

Firefox Sync is the solution. This is an official Firefox add-on from Mozilla that enables you to share your browser information across every edition of Firefox where you have Sync installed. You create an account, enter a unique username and dual-password, then on first run the information is stored on a secure remote server. Install Weave on another computer, log in, then the information is synchronised back to the new machine.

Firefox Sync will synchronise your bookmarks, stored passwords, the information you use regularly within web forms, some of your most important preferences, your browsing history and even your open tabs.

The biggest problem with using Firefox Sync is that it only synchronises your Firefox-based information. XMarks will attempt to synchronise information across your different web browsers.

Important: Firefox Sync is now built in to Firefox 4 onwards. This is included for legacy Firefox 3.x users only

Verdict:

Official addon from Mozilla that enables you to synchronise your Firefox information across your computers. Problem is, it only supports Firefox.

Spotlight: Free Full Software

Unreal Engine 4.7.2.0

Free Full Commercial Software

Unreal Engine is Epic Games' game engine, a powerful suite of tools for developing anything from basic 2D games to professional RPGs, first person shooters and whatever else you like.

Wide standards support - DirectX, OpenGL, JavaScript/ WebGL - means your projects can be targeted to almost any platform: consoles, iOS, Android, Windows, OS X, Linux, HTML5 browsers and more.

There's a vast amount to learn, of course, and that's even before you start building your game. But there's plenty of documentation, tutorials, demos and sample projects to point you in the right direction.

The package is now entirely free, too - no annoying limitations, nag screens or anything else. Epic now only requires that you pay a 5% royalty after the first $3,000 of revenue per product per quarter. And even then, you "pay no royalty for film projects, contracting and consulting projects such as architecture, simulation and visualization."
