If you’re wondering how to get offline access to a video that’s hosted online, the solution lies in a video-downloading tool like aTube Catcher. It works with most known websites and protocols – just copy and paste the URL of the video into the box, choose whether or not to convert the downloaded file into a different format for playing on another device (such as your mobile phone or TV) and click Download.

aTube Catcher also has a YouTube Monitor tool, which can automatically detect, download and – if selected – convert video from YouTube as you access it in Internet Explorer or Firefox.
