Halloween Skin Pack
Completely change the look of Windows 7 with Halloween Skin Pack

Changing the look of Windows has been made much easier through the use of themes, and there is also an army of hardcore system tweakers who are intent on pushing things as far as they possibly can. The Halloween Skin Pack is available for 32- and 64-bit versions of Windows 7 and can be used to quickly and easily give you desktop a seasonal look with a minimum of effort.

The skin pack includes a number of basic changes such as a new desktop image as well as spooky animated cursors, but things are much more impressive than that. There is also a new login screen, and a complete Halloween skin that changes the look of not only your Start menu but also all of your programs and windows.

Completely changing the look of your desktop can be quite an involved and complex process, but the benefit of using a skin pack is that much of the hard work is taken care of for you. There are a huge number of programs and utilities that are needed to customize the look of Windows to such an extent, but the Skin Pack installer will automatically sort all of this for you.

The overall look you can achieve with the skin is very impressive – and the fact that all of this can be achieved not only free of charge but without the need to mess about with endless utilities is seriously impressive. If you’re looking for a darker look for your desktop, this may be just what you have been looking for.

Verdict:

A striking and spooky desktop theme which will look good all year round, but particularly at Halloween.

Unreal Engine 4.7.2.0

Free Full Commercial Software

Unreal Engine is Epic Games' game engine, a powerful suite of tools for developing anything from basic 2D games to professional RPGs, first person shooters and whatever else you like.

Wide standards support - DirectX, OpenGL, JavaScript/ WebGL - means your projects can be targeted to almost any platform: consoles, iOS, Android, Windows, OS X, Linux, HTML5 browsers and more.

There's a vast amount to learn, of course, and that's even before you start building your game. But there's plenty of documentation, tutorials, demos and sample projects to point you in the right direction.

The package is now entirely free, too - no annoying limitations, nag screens or anything else. Epic now only requires that you pay a 5% royalty after the first $3,000 of revenue per product per quarter. And even then, you "pay no royalty for film projects, contracting and consulting projects such as architecture, simulation and visualization."
