Adobe Premiere Pro CS6

Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 is a professional video editor which comes packed with powerful features.

Just as you'd expect, the program allows you to import just about any RAW, HD, mobile or DSLR footage. You can trim and correct your clips with ease, work on the audio tracks, organise them on the timeline and export your work via Premiere Pro's enhanced DVD, Blu-ray disc and web DVD authoring tools.

Along the way, though, you'll probably notice some interesting enhancements in this version of the program.

More powerful multicam editing means there's no longer any Adobe-imposed limit on the number of cameras you can use, for instance.

Enhanced video stabilisation does a great job of compensating for shaky camera work.

New adjust layers help you apply effects to multiple clips. The three way colour corrector provides precise primary and secondary colour correction. And Photoshop-style auto-correct functions mean improving video quality has never been so easy.

Despite all the new functionality, a redesigned and more straightforward interface cuts down the complexity and ensures Premiere Pro CS6 is genuinely easier to use.

And an enhanced Mercury Playback Engine means the program is also faster and more stable, although of course you'll still need a reasonably powerful system to run it at an acceptable speed.

Please note, the file you'll download here is Adobe's Download Manager, which will then fetch and install Premiere Pro for you. It's a sizeable download, though - more than 1GB - so be sure to install the program on the system with the fastest internet connection you have available.

It still takes time to master Adobe Premiere Pro CS6, even with the usability improvements, but if you need a professional video editor which can handle any task then this remains a great choice.
