True Image Lite 2013 is stripped down version of the Acronis True Image backup tool.
And it really is stripped down. There are no disk, partition, email or file backup types on offer here, for instance: just nonstop backup and online backup.
There's no support for full or differential backups, either (it's incremental only). No support for backing up to CD, DVD or Blu-ray. No scheduling, and no option to create a bootable recovery disc.
By way of compensation, though, True Image Lite 2013 is extremely easy to use. Starting a backup is as simple as clicking "Nonstop Backup", choosing some folders to protect - "Documents", "Pictures", "Music", say - and a destination folder. And that's it, the program will back up your files automatically.
Like the full True Image 2013, you can add True Image Online, a cloud storage service. This gives you 250GB of online backup space for $4.99 a month/ $49.99 a year, but a single subscription can be used by up to 5 PCs (and you get a free 1 month subscription to try it out).
