Weeny Free Key Recovery will quickly detect and display your product keys for Windows, Office and a few other product keys (Visual Studio, SQL Server, Photoshop, AutoCAD, Battlefield, Call of Duty and so on).
It's not the longest of lists, and we're unsure how up-to-date the program's detection might be. The website only mentions Office 2003 and 2007, for instance, although it also worked just fine with our copy of Office 2010.
What's perhaps a little more interesting, though, is an option called "Scan Plus". Just click this button and the program will try more generic techniques to look for and recover product keys from any of your installed applications.
Does this work? Not consistently. Our test PC's report contained plenty of uninformative entries, including the following.
skip_keyboard_detection = no
Apple Computer, Inc. QuickTime
ProResDecoderVersion = 22.214.171.124
License = GPL - GNU Public License
In amongst the nonsense, though, there were also quite a few real keys, for Macrium Reflect, VMware Workstation, Nero Platinum, Cyberlink PowerProducer and more.
This plainly isn't a substitute for using a program which offers true native support for finding these product keys, and can display them without all the extra junk. It's enough to move Weeny Free Key Recovery ahead of the more basic competition, though, and we'd recommend you give it a try.
Please note, though, the program will try to install a system addon and adjust your browser settings during setup. Pay close attention to what the installer is telling you, and be sure to click "Decline" if you're not interested.
