Use the Flickr iPhone app to view and share photos from your iPhone

The iPhone's integrated camera coupled with web access from just about anywhere in the world means that it is an ideal device for taking photographs of your trips and travels before sharing them online. Flickr has quickly become one of the most popular photo sharing web sites, so making use of the service from your iPhone seems to make sense.

The Flickr iPhone app makes it easy to upload photos directly to your Flickr account, adding tags, titles to make them easier to find. Image resizing is also available as is geotagging, and it is also possible to opt to upload images to particular photosets and take control of their visibility to other Flickr users.

As you would expect, you can also view the photostreams of your contacts and you can add comments to any images that pique your interest. In a couple of screen presses you can also add photos to you list of favourites, add comments to images you view and download or send images via email. Working with a smaller screen undoubtedly means that compromises have to be made, but this app successfully re-creates the Flickr experience on your iPhone.

What's new in v3.2?

- Integration with iOS 8 Share Extension
- Ability to access and edit photo details
- Unified search across your photos, albums, groups and Flickr photos
- Performance and stability improvements
- Bug fixes

Verdict:

Flickr for iPhone is not perfect but it's a great way of keeping your photostream updated wherever you are.

Spotlight: Free Full Software

Unreal Engine 4.7.2.0

Free Full Commercial Software

Unreal Engine is Epic Games' game engine, a powerful suite of tools for developing anything from basic 2D games to professional RPGs, first person shooters and whatever else you like.

Wide standards support - DirectX, OpenGL, JavaScript/ WebGL - means your projects can be targeted to almost any platform: consoles, iOS, Android, Windows, OS X, Linux, HTML5 browsers and more.

There's a vast amount to learn, of course, and that's even before you start building your game. But there's plenty of documentation, tutorials, demos and sample projects to point you in the right direction.

The package is now entirely free, too - no annoying limitations, nag screens or anything else. Epic now only requires that you pay a 5% royalty after the first $3,000 of revenue per product per quarter. And even then, you "pay no royalty for film projects, contracting and consulting projects such as architecture, simulation and visualization."
