SoundPackager is a clever PC customisation tool that allows you to change all your Windows sound schemes with the minimum of hassle.
You don't have to laboriously tweak every sound file individually, then. And there's no need to alter your current Windows theme. If you'd like your PC to beep, chirp and warble like the computers on Star Trek, say, just download the appropriate package and SoundPackager will update your installation in a couple of clicks.
There are plenty of other sound schemes available, too. As we write you can download packages that will make your computer sound like a Mac, or a Wii, or an arcade game. Others use samples from classic movies or games, including Star Wars, Terminator and Resident Evil. Or you could just install the popular "Sexy Female Voice" scheme, after which your computer will start to greet you with a husky "hello" when you turn it on in the mornings.
And you can feel free to experiment, as all this tweaking is entirely safe. If you don't like a particular scheme then it may be removed in a click, or you can use Windows own sound scheme applet to restore your original sounds at any time.
Verdict:
Sure, it's trivial. Pointless. And just a little silly. SoundPackager can also be a lot of fun, though, and if you enjoy customising and personalising your PC then it's worth a try
