Maxthon Cloud Browser
An interesting browser with a lengthy feature list

Maxthon Cloud Browser is an unusual tool which tries to combine the best features of the competition, with plenty of new additions of its own.

The program aims to make you feel at home right away by importing your favourites from IE, Firefox or Chrome, for instance. Its use of the Webkit rendering engine (as used by Chrome and Safari) ensures excellent performance, but the program can also display pages using IE's Trident for compatibility.

Maxthon is available in Windows, Mac, iPhone and Android versions, too (with tablet support coming soon), and the new "Cloud Browser" features aim to make the most of that. So once you've signed up for a free Maxthon Passport account, you can use "Cloud Push" to share web content like images, videos, text or links with other devices; "Cloud Download" copies your downloads to the cloud so they're accessible from anywhere; and "Cloud Tabs" keeps your tabs synchronised, so you can close a browsing session on one device, then carry on just where you left off on another.

Built-in mouse gesture support allows you to navigate with a flick of the mouse. To move back a page, say, you hold down the right mouse button while moving the mouse from right to left. And you can extend this by creating your own mouse gestures for various common tasks.

Maxthon has plenty of other built-in tools. Magic Fill saves and remembers your user names and passwords, for example; AD Hunter blocks popups and ads; Source Sniffer makes it easy to extract and save web content (music, videos, pictures); and Snap saves an image of the current web page with a click.

But if you need more, then there are plenty of extensions to help you expand the program's capabilities.

Navigating all of this can be a little complicated, at least initially. There are two sets of buttons on a narrow left-hand sidebar, for instance, as well as various "Quick Tools" options to the right of the address bar, and more page-related options on the status bar. And that's before you get on to the Menu button, or the ten pages of settings. You're going to spend quite some time just trying to figure out where everything is.

Persevere, though, and you'll find a lot to like about Maxthon Cloud Browser, particularly if you'll use its new cloud-based features. It's certainly worth a look, although keep in mind that the program will set itself as the default browser on installation; if you don't want that, choose Advanced installation and clear the "Set as default" option.

What's new in 5.1.2.3000 (see changelog for more info)?

-Optimized the experience on Maxthon 4's automatic data importing feature
-Optimized the stability on install process.
-Optimized the experience on video toolbar featur

Verdict:

The sheer number of features here makes for a busy interface, but once you've mastered the basics Maxthon proves a fast and capable browser, with some welcome enhancements in the new cloud tools

page loads extremely fast, faster than google chroma and firefox and has inbuilt adblocker which is really great and also many more features. No.1 Browser in html5test what else you need

Nearly perfect browser

Nearly perfect browser..loads pages faster compared to firefox...has alot of features but I found it to be quite a memory hog..and on my old Pentium 4 PC it slows down significantly after having opened just 5 tabs.

Windows 10 Fall Creators Update build 1709

Free Full Commercial Software

This is the latest version of Windows - Fall Creators Update. it's a media creation tool that can be used to upgrade an existing installation of Windows or create installation media for another PC. Just make your choice after launching the tool and it'll do the rest.

What was new in Windows 10? The latest release brings back the Start Menu, though with a Windows 8 twist: live tiles keep you up-to-date with the latest news while also providing an easy way to launch apps. (Don't worry if you prefer the Start Screen, it's still there and you can boot into it if you prefer.)

Apps now work much more like regular desktop programs. They have minimise, maximise, restore and close buttons, and can be resized (to a degree) and organised however you like.

If you've still lost track of a program in the mass of open windows, a new Task Spaces feature can help. Click its taskbar button and you'll see thumbnails for everything running now, a little like OS X's Mission Control - just click something to switch to it.

Better still, Task Spaces also supports virtual desktops. Add extra desktops as required and it'll display thumbnails of each one, making it easy to identify whatever you're after and switch to it.

There's also smarter snapping, new customisation options, and even a bunch of experimental additions to the command prompt.

Fall Creators Update brings a whole host of new features for Windows 10. See the Microsoft Blog for more information.

The Windows 10 ISO here will give you build 1607 which is the August 2016 Anniversary Update.
