Windows utilities specialist Ashampoo GmbH has released Ashampoo WinOptimizer 15.0, a major new update of its Windows maintenance and optimisation tool.
Version 15 has been rebuilt around making the program easier to use via a new usability concept and more intuitive user interface. It’s also fine-tuned many of its system maintenance tools for significant performance improvements.
WinOptimizer 15 opens with a smart, user-centric interface that’s designed to make the program simpler to use. It also opens with a new interactive start screen that alerts users to potential problems along with recommendations for possible solutions.
This more intuitive approach also sees the Tuning Assistant – a wizard-driven optimisation tool – overhauled for user-friendliness too.
Ashampoo has also rebuilt many of WinOptimizer’s key modules from the ground up, future-proofing them with the added benefit of immediate performance and stability gains. It claims tools like Duplicate Finder and Undeleter now run up to 50 times faster than previously.
The DiskSpace Explorer tool has also been revamped – it’s up to 10x quicker than previously, and – along with other file tools – now supports exFAT partitions.
The system analysis tool can now support extremely large partitions, and improves the level of system information detail it provides. Also enhanced are its SSD tools to maximise their lifespan, while HDD Inspector is now quicker at detecting hard disk issues.
Other unspecified improvements can be found in the program’s Internet Tuner and Service Manager modules.
One final tweak sees the Win10 Privacy Control tool updated to handle the privacy changes implemented by the recent Creator’s Update.
Ashampoo WinOptimizer 15.0 is available now as a free 30-day trial download for PCs running Windows 7 or later. The full version retails for $49.99, with upgrades available from previous versions for as little as $12.49.
