Incomedia has released major new versions of its wizard-driven web-building tool with the launch of WebSite X5 Evolution 13.0. Website X5 Evolution is accompanied by both higher (Professional) and lower (Start) packages.
Version 13.0 adds support for parallax scrolling, includes new features like a Sticky menu and promises up to 50 per cent better performance thanks to a new 64-bit build.
Website X5 opens with the promise of parallax scrolling support, which brings depth to web pages. It’s accompanied by new hover effects and transitions to help sites look more dynamic and engaging. Incomedia provides several online examples for users to see.
Other new features include a Sticky menu, which remains in place even as users scroll down the page, and a New Title item that aims to aid web builders by helping them generate SEO-friendly titles.
Templates now include fully customisable headers and footers, while users are no longer restricted to built-in items when building templates; they can now drag in any kind of content.
A new Responsive Bar allows users to develop mobile and desktop-friendly layouts together instead of developing them separately, and the five-step wizard has been overhauled to make it more user-friendly
Professional Edition users gain a new Website X5 Manager tool, making it easy to manage multiple sites, blogs and online stores from one location. Users can track activity, process online orders, respond to comments and receive real-time notifications. The tool is accompanied by free apps for Android and iOS.
Other Pro-only features include support for 10 breakpoints in responsive websites (as opposed to three in Website X5 Evolution), support for dynamic content, database integration and the ability to access management and Private Areas.
Finally, Website X5 has added a 64-bit edition to its existing 32-bit build, and has optimised its memory usage with the promise of up to 50 per cent speed improvements.
WebSite X5 Evolution 13.0 is a function-limited demo download for PCs running Windows 7 or later. 2GB RAM and 1024×600 display required. WebSite X5 Evolution 13.0 can be purchased for $75, while Start and Pro licenses cost $19.99 and $199 respectively – each licence covers two PCs and unlimited websites, and comes with one year’s free hosting (up to 15GB) and email along with a single domain registration if needed.
