SlimComputer is a useful tool that will quickly scan your PC for unwanted software: unnecessary applications, toolbars, startup items, shortcuts and more.
The program is primarily intended for use on brand new computers, that commonly come preinstalled with all kinds of junk that you don't really need. It can also pick up unnecessary items on older systems, though, and so is worth trying out on any PC.
To discover what SlimComputer thinks of your system, just click the Main tab and then select the Run Scan button. In a few moments you'll see a report showing surplus programs that could be slowing down your PC. If you agree, select these, click the Remove button and SlimComputer will ensure they don't bother you again.
The program also includes an Optimizer section which lists all your startup programs, highlighting any it believes are optional and you can do without. If you agree, these can be removed in a couple of clicks, freeing up resources and probably speeding up your boot time.
The Uninstaller section then details your installed applications. If you'd like to improve your PC's performance further then browse the list for programs that you rarely use, and uninstall them.
And the final SlimComputer section, Windows Tools, displays shortcuts to all the most commonly-used Windows applets on one screen. So you can access the Registry Editor, Device Manager, System Restore, the Windows Disk Defragmenter and more, all with just a single click.

Does what it say above and a few more,eg. Disk Management- you can view your disk partition without a third part software ie. Partition Magic,et el. Shows useful utilities hidden by MS(for reasons known to them).Use it once every few months, no need for daily use. Also offers portable version.Get it while its still free.
