PDFInfoGUI is a portable application which displays various low-level information on specified PDF files.
Just point the program at a set of files or a folder, and it lists the following details in a table: PDF file name, number of pages, title, subject, keywords, author, creator, producer, creation date, modification date, "tagged", form information, whether it's encrypted or not, page size, file size, "optimized" status, PDF version and file path.
You're able to sort on any field by clicking that column header, making it easy to find the files with the highest page count, the documents produced most recently and more.
There's also an option to copy the details of any selected files to the clipboard, for reuse elsewhere.
There's no Find tool, no quick way to locate files with specific keywords, which is a major omission.
There's also no double-click action to open a file. Instead you must select a file and press Enter, or right-click and choose "Launch": not difficult, but slower than it needs to be.
Verdict:
PDFInfoGUI carries out the basics well, displaying lots of information on your chosen PDFs, but the lack of a Search tool is a real problem.
