When you need to jot down a quick idea, make a list or otherwise make a note of something, the chances are you will immediately reach for a pen and paper. JustNotes is a free Mac app that may change that as it makes the process of making notes on your computer as quick and easy as possible.

The app is always available in your menu bar so the creation of a new note is never more than a click away. Notes are neatly arranged by the order in which they have been created, but an instant search facility is available if your list of notes starts to become unwieldy - keyboard shortcuts can be configured to make things even easier.

If you already have a set of notes stored in .txt format, or compiled in Evernote, these can be quickly imported into JustNotes.

But one of the most useful features of JustNotes is its ability to synchronise with SimpleNote. After signing up for a free account, you can sync your notes one line so they can be accessed from any computer with an internet connection.
