Ted (the "torrent episode downloader") is an easy-to-use search tool that will quickly locate episodes of your favourite TV shows, then pass them to whatever torrent client you use for downloading.

The process begins by deciding which shows you'd like to watch. Ted comes with hundreds of programmes already included, and a double-click will allow you to add any of these. But if yours isn't on the list, then it's not a problem - just choose the "Add a custom show" option, provide its name and a few other details, and you're finished.

There's really little else to do. Simply carry on using your PC as normal, and ted will run in the background, checking various feeds and torrent search sites on an hourly basis for the shows you've specified. You'll be alerted when the very latest episode appears, and at a click it'll start downloading in your torrent client.

If ted's default settings don't quite suit your needs, though, it can be reconfigured to run in many different ways. You might choose to search for particular (or all) episodes of a show, rather than just the latest one, for instance. Checking one box will ask ted to search for HD quality videos. And you're able to add torrent-related search feeds of your own, increasing the chance of locating the shows you'd like to watch.
