SlimCleaner is a powerful PC maintenance tool that will help to clean up, optimise and maintain your computer.
The program's Cleaner module, for instance, detects and removes temporary files left behind by Windows and your applications. It's effective, too, recovering roughly the same amount of drive space as CCleaner in our tests.
The Optimize module lists your Windows startup programs and services, and displays ratings provided by other SlimCleaner users to recommend any that you might be able to do without. We found many programs were currently "unrated", presumably as SlimCleaner is still so new, but it's easy to get involved: click on the program, rate it for usefulness yourself, and at least other users will benefit from your experience.
The same crowd-sourced information is used to rate your installed applications in the Uninstaller module, and your toolbars, browser helper objects and other components in the Hijack Log; again, we didn't find it produced a great deal of information yet, but your PC may be different, and at least it's a useful way to see and remove the various programs installed on your system.
And bonus extras include a Shredder, which securely deletes confidential files so they can't be recovered, and a "Windows" panel for easy access to fifteen of the most important Windows maintenance tools.
New 3.0 features include:
-New Disk Utilities including revamp Shredder, and new Disk Wiper and Disk Analyzer tools.
-Added an option to install and uninstall the SlimCleaner context menus in Windows Explorer.
-Users can now login with their Facebook account.
-Fixed some minor bugs
