Vidiot is a non-linear video editor for basic home video editing.
Add a few clips and you're able to drag and drop, perhaps copy and paste them into order, maybe add a few simple fades.
You're able to zoom in, preview individual clips and trim them via the mouse or keyboard.
A single panel gives access to most of your effects and status information: speed, opacity, video cropping, rotation, scaling, positions, volume and keyframes.
There's limited support for titles, though nothing like the wizards or templates of more advanced editors (all you can do is overlay transparent images).
When you're finished, Vidiot renders the final video with your choice of codec and bit rate.
A less-than-intuitive interface means this isn't always straightforward, but built-in help is on hand if you need it.
Verdict:
Vidiot is a basic video editor with only limited options, but once you've mastered the interface it's relatively simple and straightforward to use.
