Cybersecurity firm Bullguard has unveiled the 2020 range of its antimalware product family: Bullguard Antivirus 2020, Bullguard Internet Security 2020 and Bullguard Premium Protection 2020.
All three products gain a new advanced machine learning engine to analyse and root out zero-day malware, while Internet Security and Premium users also gain a new secure web browser. Finally, Bullguard Premium users gain a refined and expanded identity production tool.
Bullguard describes its new machine learning engine as “based on a complex learning model, [which] uses sophisticated mathematical algorithms to analyse over 100 attributes of a file, to root out and neutralise zero-day malware”. Long story short, this improves Bullguard’s ability to spot and block emerging threats without the need for virus definition updates.
The new Secure Browser is found in both Internet Security and Premium. It apes that found in other security products by offering a secure platform for processing online payments as well as browsing in general.
The browser boasts a familiar-looking interface, and has been engineered to protect against a range of known browser-based threats, from man-in-the-middle attacks to process injection and remote takeover.
Bullguard Premium’s Identity Protection feature has been extended to monitor thousands more websites than previously, including dark web platforms and known sites where user data is sold or traded. 13 countries are now protected by the feature, including the US, UK, Canada, and 10 European territories including Ireland, Germany, Italy and the Nordic territories.
Bullguard Antivirus 2020 ($29.95 for a one-PC, one-year license), Bullguard Internet Security 2020 ($59.95 for a three-device, one-year subscription), and Bullguard Premium Protection 2020 ($99.95 for a ten-device, one-year subscription) are all available now as free trial downloads for PCs running Windows Vista or later, Macs running OS X 10.11 or later and Android phones and tablets running Android 4.0 or later.
