JumpPad is an app launch utility that makes it easy to access the programs and tools you use most frequently without the need to navigate through the Start menu or battle with a desktop cluttered with icons. The program is activated through the use of a hotspot in one of the corners of the screen so no matter what you are doing, it is always possible to access the shortcuts you need.
By default JumpPad will list the contents of the Start menu so you have access to the same list of installed applications. The size of the hotspot can be adjusted so if you find you are accidentally activating the program, you can reduce the size so it requires a more précised selection. Similarly, if you are having trouble launching JumpPad, a large hotspot will help to make things easier.
The program can be customised to display links to executable files that are found in folders of your choosing - the app will also look in sub-folder. The size of shortcut icons can be adjusted as well, so if you have a very large number of program shortcuts, the size can be reduced to help free up some space.
The first time you run the program, it may appear as though nothing has happened. To activate JumpPad you need to move the mouse cursor to the top left hand corner of the screen to bring up the options window which can then be used to configure the program.
