When it comes to synchronising files between computers, there are few better services than Dropbox. This online storage service not only means that it is possible to access your files from any computer with an internet connection, but desktop software means that it is possible to automatically synchronise files between the various computers you use. You can choose how frequently synchronisation occurs, or opt to stay in manual control. You can also indicate that you would only like to synchronise when you have a wireless connection to avoid eating into your data plan, and you can avoid killing your battery by opting to only synchronise when your device has a decent charge.

The free version of the app gives you a very good idea of just what can be achieved, but it will only allow you to synchronise a single folder.
