Atchoo is a simple application that delivers desktop alerts for your Google Calendar events.
Once you've entered your logon details and the program has connected to your calendar, it will pop up a small window to let you know when some upcoming event is imminent.
You can then dismiss the window, or use a Snooze button to be reminded a little while later. Unusually, you're able to enter very precise snooze times in a natural language form, like "2 hours and 15 minutes".
And, well, that's about it. The program just runs in the background, consuming minimal resources and reminding you of your important events as they crop up, a very handy accessory for any Google Calendar user.
Version 0.72 brought the following:
- added the ability to change the display theme - the available themes are Blue, Silver and System
- updated the reminder form so that if an event's title contains a web address, the right click menu will allow opening it in the default browser
- redesigned the reminder form again
Verdict:
Compact, lightweight and easy to use, Atchoo will come in handy for anyone who wants desktop alerts of their Google Calendar events
