Nero TuneItUp Free is a simple PC cleanup and optimisation tool.

The program has five main features: deleting junk files, cleaning browsing history, cleaning the Registry, uninstalling unwanted programs, and a "multimedia data manager" to help you deal with large files.

If you've ever used another optimisation suite, you'll know how TuneItUp is going to work: click a Scan button, get a quick report covering the number of issues in each area, then you can click "Delete" or "Fix" buttons to address everything automatically, or inspect individual areas to take more control.

There's nothing too surprising about the results. One small plus is the support for cleaning Microsoft Edge, a small minus was "Remove Programs" recommending we remove programs that weren't unnecessary at all, otherwise it's all fairly average.

The commercial Pro edition of the program offers much more, including modules to boost startup speed, increase internet performance, optimise Windows services, save power, prevent file recovery, update drivers, update programs, and optimise Windows programs.
