Sophos Free Encryption provides a quick and easy way to protect your most personal and confidential files from snoopers.

Simply drag and drop your documents onto the program, click Save, provide a password, and that's it - Sophos Free Encryption quickly creates an AES-encrypted copy of your files.

Or choose the Send option instead and Sophos Free Encryption will open a New Message window in your email client, with the encrypted file already added as an attachment.

The program can encrypt anything from individual files, to complete folders. You have the option to create a self-extracting executable, which allows any recipient (who knows the password) to unpack the file, even if they don't have a copy of Sophos Free Encryption installed. And it's even possible for the program to securely delete the source files after they've been encrypted, which will ensure they can't be recovered by any passing hacker with an undelete tool.
